TROUBLESHOOT BEFORE BUYING
Separate coverage from connectivity.
A Wi-Fi symptom does not always mean you need another access point. Narrow the problem by looking at affected devices, locations and the services being used.
Coverage and wireless conditions
Review where people work, wall and floor construction, access point placement and nearby sources of interference. Identify whether problems occur in one area, while moving between rooms or only when more people are connected.
The wired and internet path
Compare wired and wireless behavior, then examine the relevant switches, gateway, cabling and internet connection. If one application fails while others work, its service or configuration may need attention too. Coordinating with the provider can be part of identifying the cause.
Evidence that helps a review
Note the time, location, affected device and what stopped working. Describe recent equipment or provider changes. A simple floor plan and equipment list are useful; passwords, network credentials and private records should not be included in your initial inquiry.
